Air purifiers are a crucial piece of technology that are often overlooked, yet their significance to our health cannot be overstated. According to Dr. Mark Hyman, a well-known health guru and the author of The Ultramind Solution, indoor air quality can be up to 500 times more polluted than outside air. In fact, indoor air quality can be a serious health risk since our homes can become like “a Ziploc bag containing airborne pollutants that can’t escape,” says Dr. Hyman. When we breathe polluted air, we introduce toxins into every cell of our body, which circulate throughout our entire body, impacting our internal organs, including the heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver.
As we discovered in our Coway Air Purifier review on our tech YouTube channel, Radial Tech, an air purifier is a must-have appliance for anyone who wants to improve the air quality in their home and protect their health.
Coway AP1544 Mighty
After extensive research, we found the Coway AP1512 air purifier to be an excellent option for bedrooms and small spaces. One of the things we like about this purifier is its compact and clean design. Measuring only 16.8 inches wide by 18.3 inches high and 9.5 inches deep, it can easily fit in a corner of a room without looking bulky. This is a significant advantage over other air purifiers in the same price range and cleaning power.
Small But Mighty
The Coway Mighty uses Hepa technology, which claims to reduce 99.99% of fine particles, including pollen, dust, pet dander, and mold, as small as 0.01㎛¹. Wirecutter conducted in-depth testing on this unit and found that it delivers three air changes per hour on the medium setting and 5.7 on its highest setting, making it an effective option for cleaning the air in a 350 sqft room.
The build quality of this unit is also impressive, with tighter fitting filters ensuring that all the air that passes through it gets properly filtered. Additionally, the Coway Mighty has an advanced smart air control system that automatically controls the airflow speed from low to medium to high in real-time. The lights on top of the unit indicate the indoor air quality of your room from clean to medium to highly polluted, and you can hear the airflow speed adjust based on the level of air quality in the room.
One small feature that we particularly like is the option to turn off the bright indicator lights at night. This means you can use the Coway Mighty in a bedroom without the glow disturbing your sleep. You can also turn the ionizer on and off, which is a good option since there is some debate about the effectiveness of ionizers on air purifiers in general.
Compared to other units we tried, the Coway Might Air Purifier is also very quiet, even on its highest setting. This makes it suitable for use in any room in the house. Overall, we found that the Coway Mighty is a great air purifier that performs better than most other units in its price range. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an effective and compact air purifier.
