Tudor has been around for close to 100 years. The brand is the sister company to Rolex and they were both started the very same year. When you buy a Tudor you are getting Rolex craftsmanship and quality without all the bells and whistles.

The Black Bay 58 is a gorgeous watch. It is modelled after vintage diver watches from Rolex and Tudor, particularly the Submariner and Sea Dweller. What makes the Black Bay 58 so great is its 39mm size and 11.9mm height. This size is perfect for most wrists, not too big for a smaller wrist and not too small for a larger wrist. The watch can also be dressed up or down by changing bands. You can go with leather for a more dressed up look or the metal rivet band for a more casual look. Be warned, it is not easy to change the bands on your own. Your authorized dealer will do this for you, or there are some specialty tools out there that will allow you to do this as well, but it can’t be done without these.

The black bay 58 is an automatic watch and features a highly regarded in-house movement that is designed and made by Tudor. A lot of high end watches have outsourced movements so it’s good to see that Tudor was able to build their own for the Black Bay 58 and keep it at an accessible price for a high end watch.
